Who we are

Morgan Kingston Advisors was founded in 2018 by Susan Miller and Sean Mirzabegian. After working together for multiple years at a boutique firm, our founders recognized their complementary skillsets and were eager to establish their own firm. “Morgan Kingston” is a combination of each founder’s first-born child’s name and is a nod to the support each family has provided over their careers. Miller and Mirzabegian collectively add over 40 years of investment banking and entrepreneurial experience, including positions at both start-up and well-established companies, across multiple industries.

  • Transparent. We believe in setting clear goals and expectations with our clients before and during a transaction process. Prior to engagement, we invest a significant amount of time and effort in evaluating the strategic alternatives available to our clients, including the short- and long-term opportunities and challenges related to each. We appreciate that M&A and capital markets are dynamic, as well as, company performance and stakeholders’ needs during a process. Therefore, we believe alignment of interests is key and achieved through constant and open communication with our clients.

  • Comprehensive. Our attention to detail allows us to quickly adapt to changing market conditions, business lifecycles and stakeholder needs. We are focused on unlocking hidden valuation opportunities or threats prior to a transaction going live. Our varied career experiences as investment bankers, lenders, investors and entrepreneurs, allows us to take a multi-faceted approach to each transaction. This proactive approach minimizes business disruption and potential deal fatigue, while also giving our clients confidence that we will achieve their goals and objectives.

  • Efficient. We invest our resources upfront, which results in compressed transaction timelines and surety of close. In each of our processes, we carefully balance salesmanship with reality. We understand how different parties evaluate an opportunity and create marketing materials tailored to each of those audiences. By setting strict transaction timelines and clearly delegating responsibilities, we ensure that all parties involved in a process are held accountable and working towards the end goal.

  • Thoughtful. Our team has extensive experience with both bulge bracket and boutique firms, as well as, clients ranging from start-up to publicly-traded blue chip companies, which allows us to draw from a vast knowledge base. Our partners have completed dozens of transactions of varying size and complexity across several different industries and economic backdrops throughout their careers. We draw from these experiences to assess each new assignment, and carefully craft a client’s story and positioning. Our clients recognize the value we add to each engagement by providing an independent perspective, and in many cases, assisting them in creating or improving their business plan.
